Joshua Kurian
Hey, I’m Joshua! I’m a senior at The Cambridge high school Abu Dhabi and I am one of the founders of the academy of promise. Our mission is to provide a stable education to underprivileged children around the world as we believe every child should be given equal opportunities regardless of their economic background. Here at the Academy of promise, we believe that education is the most powerful tool which can be used to change the world. In my free time, I love to listen to music and have a strong passion for the medical field.
Abdallah Al Khaouli
Hey, my name is Abdallah Al Khaouli I’m 17 and I am one of the founders of the Academy of Promise and I am currently a senior in high school. The reason why we established Academy of Promise is because we believe that education should be made accessible to everyone, no matter their economic background, which motivated us to create an organization that provides students without stable education due to financial insecurity with education given directly by the volunteers of Academy Of Promise. We hope to make a positive impact on students’ education no matter where or who they are! In my free time I like to play football and read books.
Muhammad Zuhair Khan
Hey, my name is Muhammad Zuhair Khan and I am one of the founders of the Academy of Promise. Here at the Academy of Promise, we strive to create a long-lasting and positive impact on the communities we live in today. Regardless of who they are, their financial situation, or ethnic background, the team of the academy of promise is well equipped and ready to help. Currently, in my senior year, I believe we have both the right mindset and goals that foster an environment of opportunity and growth as we aim to provide underprivileged individuals with free and accessible education. In my free time, you can find me playing basketball, cricket, and chess or making the most out of precious time with family and friends.
Leena Hamdan
My name is Leena, I am an American IB student. My role at Academy of Promise is Head of social media. In 2019, I conducted a leadership position to improve children’s educational skills at my school. Now, my team and I can globally impact unfortunate children’s education through AOP’s opportunities, a non-profitable organization. This expansion has driven my person growth, and teaching aspects. My extra-curricular activities vary, as I am apart of TEDx Youth class of 2022 and Model United Nations.
Laial Al Maainah
Welcome! I am Laial Al Maainah — the Head of English at the Academy of Promise. I am Emirati, and love literature. I believe each child deserves to have access to proper education, and I hope to consummate this throughout my duties in this organization.
Amjad Almuti
My name is Amjad Almuti, a Palestinian American student in Abu Dhabi, and the head of Public Relations at the Academy of Promise. I aim to make the world a better place by doing my part in helping those that need support around the globe. Through my involvement in AOP, I hope to make a lasting impact on the students and people involved in the club.
Aleenaa Sohail
Hey, I'm Aleenaa Sohail, and I'm from Pakistan. I joined the Academy of Promise because I wanted to support a good cause, and take responsibility within the organization as being part of the Leadership team. I'm planning on studying economics and finance in the future because I want to understand the economical side of fixing issues in a country and finding understanding the way the economy works. In my free time, I like to work out, take on a creative project such as sketching, or just relax and game online with friends

Hello! My name is Omar and I come from Malaysia, but I’ve been living in the UAE for the past 15 years. My position in the AOP organization is the Head of Mathematics. Math has always given me a sense of belonging that other subject could not, which is why I am passionate to take on this role! However, math’s is not the only thing that keeps me satisfied. I also enjoy playing the piano and spending time with friends and family.

Hello! My name is Huzefa Dico and I am from Ethiopia and Canada. I joined the AOP team because I felt that I had a responsibility to not only give back to the world but also have the chance to give people who are less fortunate a more equal opportunity to succeed in life. AOP’s aims resonated with me which is why I was inclined to join their team and support them, making us a step closer to achieving our goals.

I am from Italy/Germany and am working as an editor across the various AOP media platforms. I love reading, traveling, and computers. I joined AOP because I want to help underprivileged people reach their full potential!

I'm Mario, I am Spanish and have been living in the Emirates since 2014. I joined the Academy of Promise as I believe that it can become quite a promising opportunity for hundreds or potentially thousands of children all across the world. I am very excited to witness the beginning of this organization and I hope we can make the lives of many less fortunate children a lot more prosperous.
